The Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between CT and you for the services provided and set out the basis of our legal relationship. By booking with us and paying a deposit (as per amounts indicated on the Booking Form) or full payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. Acceptance of your booking will be confirmed in writing to you, and a contract comes into existence on the date shown on your confirmation letter or email. Expedition payments A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the scheduled fee is due within 7 days of booking. The balance of payment is due 60 days prior to departure for travel in Australia and 90 days prior to departure for international travel, unless otherwise specified. You will be notified at the time of booking of any exceptions to this payment schedule. All listed prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Cancellations Cancellation fees apply. Cancellation fees may also apply to any additional services reserved prior to, during and after the expedition. All cancellations must be made in writing through CT. No responsibility is taken for cancellations of hotel bookings or other services made directly by the client or the client’s travel agent with the service provider, regardless of whether written proof is given. CT standard schedule of cancellation fees is as follows: * 60 days+ prior to departure: 20% deposit and any incurred supplier fees (such as flights, accommodation etc) * 59–30 days prior to departure: 50% of total cost * Less than 30 days prior to departure: 100% of total cost. Airline penalties may also apply.  Baggage allowance Space is limited, please try to limit your luggage to one 20–23kg bag (as per Australian domestic air carriage limits) and one additional carry-on bag (30x28x14cm). No responsibility is accepted for loss or damage to baggage or any other belongings. (See travel insurance clause.) Participation For the benefit of everyone on the expedition, CT reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a participant, and to remove from the expedition any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interest of the other participants. Travellers who need special assistance You must report any condition or disability requiring special attention to CT at the time the reservation is made. All travellers must be able to handle their own luggage. CT will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate travellers with special needs, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so, nor is it responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants or other independent suppliers.  Price guarantee Tariffs for accommodation, flights and excursions are guaranteed when we receive full payment. This does not include any Government/airport tax increases and currency fluctuations. Any included airfares and accommodation are based on a group rate and all participants need to fly on the same flights and stay in the same accommodation on the same dates. Trip prices are per person, based on two persons sharing a room unless otherwise specified. Single room supplements are listed where applicable.  Accommodation The accommodations described on our website or trip notes are intended to be used on this trip, however if a change becomes necessary for any reason, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent in standard to those shown. Every effort is made to reserve your preferred room request, but room configuration is at the discretion of individual hotels. Please note that accommodation times vary from hotel to hotel. Paying for a single supplement ensures own room, not necessarily a twin bedded one. Dining A restaurant or date of a dinner may be substituted at any time due to reasons beyond CT’s control.  Minimum numbers CT reserves the right to cancel any expedition prior to departure if minimum numbers are not met. In the event of this participants will be refunded all money paid to CT. Not included in expedition price Flights, meals, excursions, accommodation or transport not included in the itinerary; alcohol; insurance; laundry; optional tours or activities during free time; tips; items of a personal nature. CT is not liable for medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. It is understood that CT will use its best efforts to ensure adequate measures are taken.  We recommend participants investigate all Department of Foreign Affairs warnings for the areas of travel. CT will not be liable for any act of government, terrorism, revolution or other act. CT reserves the right to cancel an expedition at any stage due to concerns about safety. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure any visas required in all countries visited have been obtained prior to departure. Failure to obtain visas or other required documentation may mean participant may be denied entry into some countries. Passport and visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the participant. Authority of the leader The decision of the expedition leader will be final on all matters likely to affect the safety and well-being of the trip. This includes any decision that the leader makes about your on-going participation in the trip or certain activities that comprise part of the trip. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a leader, or interfere with the well-being of the group, then the leader reserves the right to terminate this contract and order you to leave the tour immediately, with no right of refund.
